A self-guided holiday from coast to coast along the Sierra de Tramuntana.

Majorca has many surprises in store for you and shows itself continually in a new light. Sun, beach and sea – you already know about that. During this tour you can discover the inner life of Majorca on deserted paths. In the Sierra de Tramuntana and on the coast, you walk through olive groves to charming villages with manor houses and palaces. You enjoy the view of the sea, small islands and delightful natural landscapes. Our walk alternates along the coast between mountains and the sea.

Day 1: Arrival at Puerto Alcúdia

Individual arrival or book transfer to the first hotel. At the welcome meeting you will be given maps and route notes and everything else you need for your holiday.

 

Day 2: Coastal Hike on the Peninsula Alcúdia

Today’s walk is a beautiful walk along the coast between the bay of Pollenca and Alcúdia. Walk to a scenic cliff top and enjoy panoramic views across the coast line.

 

Day 3: Pilgrim Path from Pollenca

to the monastery LlucTransfer to Pollenca and from there follow the historic pilgrim path to Lluc. Thehigh peaks of the Sierra de Tramuntana accompany our walk over the pass beside the Puig Tomir. Shady groves of evergreen oaks, orchards and unspoilt meadows accompany you. A special highlight awaits us at the monastery Lluc: the botanical garden.

 

Day 4: Pilgrim Path from Cuber reservoir to Lluc

In the morning transfer to the Cuber reservoir, where we continue along another part of the pilgrim path to Lluc. Today we walk up high into the Sierra and cross the passes to Lluc. An unusual landscape with high grass, rocks and passes as in high mountain regions. Sunny views to the steep coast and lush valleys certainly make this day to the very highlight of your vacation.

 

Day 5: Pilgrim Path from Cuber Reservoir to Soller

Transfer to the Cuber reservoir and from here walk along the beach to the L’offres pass. Follow the curling path up to Es Cornador and enjoy the best view over the famous terrace-walk down to Soller. Then follow this path down to the idyllic gorge and the gardens of Soller. Take the old tramway along the coast to Puerto Soller.

Day 6: Postal route from Deia to Soller

Take the shuttle bus to the artist colony at Deia, the jewel on the west coast. In the bay of Deia, today’s walk follows the coast up to the idyllic postal route to Soller. A visit to an old olive-oil press, fresh orange juice and a walk through olive groves round off this day’s walk.

 

Day 7: Idyllic railway trip to Palma, city tour and beach walking on the Playa de Palma

After breakfast take the famous train from Soller to Palma. Enjoy this journey up to the hillsides of the Tramuntana and through the fertile plains of Palma. After days of mountain solitude the liveliness on the Playa de Palma awaits!
