This is not exactly a walking or hiking holiday. Your visits to the rain forests, however, are on foot, and there is scope for introducing more walking if you so wish. Above all it is a chance to discover a wonderful country with your own driver/guide at very reasonable cost, giving you the freedom to enjoy the visit at your own pace but without having to worry about driving on foreign roads.

Costa Rica is unique – a Latin American country with no army, comparatively little crime, and with a profound interest in preserving its very beautiful landscapes and its exceptional variety of flora and fauna.
