Costa Rica at Your Own Pace - 2007

A holiday with private driver and guide

Costa Rica is unique - a Latin American country with no army, comparatively little crime, and with a profound interest in preserving its very beautiful landscapes and its exceptional variety of flora and fauna.

This is not exactly a walking or hiking holiday. Your visits to the rain forests, however, are on foot, and there is scope for introducing more walking if you so wish. Above all it is a chance to discover a wonderful country with your own driver/guide at very reasonable cost, giving you the freedom to enjoy the visit at your own pace but without having to worry about driving on foreign roads. Accommodation is in comfortable lodges or small hotels with private bathrooms. This is also an excellent holiday for families with children who are interested in seeing animals in a natural and exotic but safe environment - large triple rooms/ family rooms are available. Below is a possible itinerary - other itineraries are possible throughout Costa Rica.
