ALTO ADIGE 2008

In the Shadow of the Dolomites
A self-guided walking holiday

This is a walking holiday in the very heart of the “Alto Adige” region, in the shadow of the Dolomites mountains. Just south of the Alps, between Bressanone, cultural centre of the Tyrol region and Bolzano, this is where the German world meets the Italian dolce vita. The first part of the tour is on the Keschtnweg, the 'Chestnut Way', from which you can admire the beautiful Dolomites mountains as if you were gazing from a terrace. The walk continues on the Renon plateau, to arrive at the region’s capital, Bolzano and the Val Gardena.
